This is the second part of a series started on Memorial Day of Washington officials that have resigned or otherwise lost their job in relationship to the Bush Administration. Some of the resignations have been more innocent than others, but the volume of resignations are noticeable. Every presidential cycle has people that come in and out of high offices, but the Bush administration has been one of purges.
This post is going to concentrate on the White House Press Secretaries. These men have taken on the daunting task of spinning the administration‘s policies and blunders no matter what the cost. The casualties of this job were high.
I’ll keep adding to the list over time until I’ve covered all the ones that I’m aware of. My final post will also have sources cited as well, but most of the information is pulled from Wikipedia.

Ari Fleischer:
White House Press Secretary from 2001-2003
Mr. Fleischer was the first in what would become a long list of secretaries. He is known for spinning “suicide bomber” into “homicide bomber”. In 2007 he testified against Scooter Libby in “The Plame Affair”.

Scott McClellan:
White House Press Secretary from 2003-2006
Mr. McClellan was Press Secretary during one of the worst natural disasters in modern American history during Hurricane Katrina, and had to defend the President during one of the grossest mismanagements of disaster recovery as well. Mr. McClellan also protected the President from press questions about “The Plame Affair” as well. Mr. McClellan resigned in 2006.

Tony Snow:
White House Press Secretary from 2006-2007
(Was On Medical Leave)
Mr. Snow is a former Fox News Pundit that also once worked for National Public Radio. He is currently still the White House Press Secretary, but due to a development of colon cancer he was required to leave for surgery. During that time he was replaced by Dana Perino. Mr. Snow has returned to work after a successful surgery, and continues to defend President Bush and his policies.
