Fuck Your Bailout

Written By AlvinBlah on September 23rd, 2008  |   Trackback URI |   Email This Post Email This Post

Dear Mr. Paulson,

Fuck you and your idiotic companies and corporate greed. Fuck your bad policy and defense of CEO “golden parachutes”. Fuck your fight against mortgage relief for hardworking Americans that bought into the dream. Fuck you and your insistence that our retirement was safe in the market. Mr. Paulson, fuck you and your bailout.

I don’t want to save these companies, I don’t want to keep rich people rich, and I don’t want the debt. Mr. Paulson shut the fuck up so we can fix our road and bridges. Shut the fuck up so we can end the war in Iraq. Shut the fuck up so we can stop burning oil in our cars. Mr. Paulson, shut the fuck up and sit the fuck down.

You demand 700 billion from me, my children, my grandchildren, and my great-grandchildren. You demand that 700 billion comes from my wallet every year for longer than I will live. 700 billion can end world hunger. 700 billion can stop global warming. 700 billion could cure cancer, stop the ravages of AIDS and make the terrors of malaria a thing of the past. 700 billion could make our education system the best in the world. 700 billion could save our health care, social security, and welfare programs. 700 billion could improve the lives of human beings the world around immeasurably. Mr. Paulson instead of saving the world, you have demanded we save a handful of companies. To be perfectly blunt Mr. Paulson stacked against the weight of the world, I don’t give a fuck about you or your buddy companies.

You and your friends have driven the strongest and most robust economy in the world straight into the ditch like a drunk driver on prom night. You are a failure and a disgrace to the ideals of Americanism. Fuck off, you don’t get any of my money.

Sincerely,

America

P.S. Please tender your resignation, you’re fired you incompetent fucker.

Sadly, this cocksucker will get exactly what he’s asking for. Remember Nancy Pelosi’s platforms for election of reform and impeachment for Bush? How’d that go?

There is no rule of law. Just the rule of greed, legal dancing and shotguns.

As the American people, we’re down to the last and the irony is that these cocksuckers will lock us up, under the guise of “protecting our freedom”.

Thats like you protecting your sister’s virginity because she’s YOURS to fuck..

you should read up on your history before you fly off the handle. whether you realize it or not every “bailout” since the New Deal has been paid back in full with interest. so we actually end up making money on these in the long run. calm the fuck down and read into it a bit more.

Honestly, I can see where a bailout might be necessary, my problem is with the terms and conditions. I don’t like Paulson campaigning for a bailout plan that has no oversight or regulation. If there is a bailout, there are things that I want…

      1. NO, absolutely NO severance packages for the top tier of company workers.
      2. Coverage for Americans that are foreclosing on homes dictated by a case by case evaluation
      3. Federal ownership in these companies.
      4. Federal oversight in how debts are paid
      5. Court authority to renegotiate interest rates
      6. The resignations of Bernake and Paulson

Now, this isn’t an end all be all list, and I’m not an economist. I’m an American, I pay my taxes, and I am above the national curve in my understanding of American politics and current events. These are 6 specific things I would like to see enacted.

Without these, the bailout becomes reward for bad behavior, and while their may be long term ramifications…as a member and (self appointed) spokesperson for the generation that will shoulder this debt, I’d rather face a depression than blindly pass off money to people that have proved that they can’t manage it.

I agree. Why do we have to pay for all these corporations to stay afloat? I hate these corporations I hope they all fail so all of us that have been struggling can have a chance someday. All though CEO and other leaders in these banks are not loosing sleep over this they are banking on this. They are the reason why these banks are in this situation. If they approve this bailout I want my bailout of all my debut.

we’ve got to let these impossible-to-value commodities fall to the bottom, and sadly take some good ones with them.
they are worth shit, because this whole economy is shit.
do we even MAKE anything in this country anymore? is our economy based on the GNP or on wishful thinking?
We allow our companies to avoid taxes, we export our jobs– we are canibalizing ourselves! that fucking asshole from Iran said our country is falling, and i think he is right. Its the republicans who took us down.
but the blame doesn’t stop there– blame the fuckers who voted for Bush Jr., not once but TWICE!
      WE DESERVE THIS.
      fuck us to hell.

There has been some talk about the proposed bailout being the scam of the century . As such I would like to put forward some basic maths . If , hypothetically , there were only two people in the country . One had $10T and the other had nothing . What is the value of the $10T of the first ? Bearing in mind that he cannot earn 5% on that $10T and assuming that he cannot do what happens in third world countries that the investment is put in another country where it can earn income . The only thing he can do is to whittle it away employing the other person . The fact is that the more wealth is skewed to the top the less it is actually worth .

What a bunch of unsubstantiated crap. Can stop global warming? How is 700 billion going to stop the decaying of plants, eruption of volcanoes, and forest fires that account for 99% of the carbon emissions in the atmosphere? Or stop solar activity that is directly related to the temperature on earth?

Stop world hunger? You can buy people food forever, but until you teach them how to cultivate, it’s really all for naught.

The war in Iraq? Let’s go ahead and throw America losing the last World Cup into that because I’m sure that was Paulson’s fault as well.

The real problem is the banking institutions that were never regulated to begin with. Why is it that we as Americans have allowed such an institution where a person making minimum wage can accrue $40,000 in credit card debt? We spend money we don’t have on things we don’t need and push into the economy money that isn’t there, artificially inflating it. We don’t save and then when something happens to our budget, like the price of gas going up which sends everything up, we choose between the rent or food. Well, since we have such shit credit, having the 4-5 credit cards maxed out, we really shouldn’t have had a mortage to begin with and should have thought twice on that home equity loan against what we HAVE paid because now we can’t pay the lease and have to let it slide.

The real problem with America is America. We can point fingers all day just because it’s bad when one party is in power, but no administration has ever had a cakewalk. We’re fortunate or unfortunate enough to have an economy that is largely laissez fair.

Like it or not, some of those big corporations are pretty important. Most people half hear what is going on and think that it’s just a bundle of corporate greed out there that isn’t tied to anything. Well, I bet if a company that you’re more familiar with like Microsoft announced that it was going to have to have a fire-sale because it was going under, you’d snap to attention. The rest of the world would as well. The problem is that the rest of the world has already snapped to attention and are looking to see what we’re going to do about our economic problems so that they can goto sleep knowing that their markets will be stable. This is part of the “world leader” idea.

We have a free market economy with government oversight. So if you want to let our biggest companies crumble and foreign interest buy out what’s left in the ashes, by all means, write your congressman and tell them to continue to block the legislation. I’m sure none of those big companies have employees and I’m sure none of those employees purchase goods and services from other businesses. Just because you haven’t felt the effects yet doesn’t mean you won’t.

I say that we need to call Wall Street’s bluff. They are just playing us for fools. The top 1% of Americans own 90% of the wealth in the country. They have the most to lose. As for the rest of us, the credit card companies have cut our credit limits and raised our interest rates to 30+%. The oil companies are celebrating over $5/gal gas while we can’t afford to put food on the table. Home ownership is not a possibility for most Americans. Our jobs are at risk due to downsizing and outsourcing. Our kids can’t get college tuition loans. The medical and pharmaceutical industries are killing us. Two jobs for each spouse barely pay the bills.

Remember the old song line: “freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.” Well, we have nothing left to lose. So tell Wall Street NO. Actually, tell them HELL NO. If they want a bailout, they can dig into their own fortunes and bail themselves out. If not, they can come with us and fight over the last slice of bread in the soup line. Frankly, I don’t give a damn what they do. But if the bailout passes, it seems to me that there needs to be a call for a national labor strike. Why should hard-wroking Americans go to work just to support the wealthy scum. All that we have left is our labor. We should just refuse to work and see how they like that. It worked for the Poles against Russia, and it will work for us.

Anarchy is easy. All that you have to do is say NO.

Fuck this plan it should be rode out and have no intervention. Just like you said keeps the rich rich and the poor suffering and poor.

A guy working on an hourly pay can very quickly become a guy in a food line.

We, the average taxpayer, will be sitting on a home which is heavily discounted, and yet paying a premium rate mortgage for years if the economy stays depressed.

Some of this bad debt are merely distressed debt, not worthless. The government can buy this at a discount & sell it at a profit when the property market recovers.

We’re not bailing any rich CEOs out or anything. They’re rich already well before the crisis. We’re bailing ourselves.

The Iraq War costs a billion a month. How about abstaining from war for another 5 years and we’ve got our money back.

A little reminder to all the assholes supporting this bailout… They’ve told us repeatedly, THERES NO FUCKING GUARANTEE IT WILL FIX SHIT! Can anybody tell me why this is the only fucking solution being thrown around the table??? I mean is it just me or does anyone else feel like hmmm… THERES PROBABLY 700 BILLION FUCKING WAYS TO SPEND THIS MONEY AND DIRECTLY HELP THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! Or even better, dont spend any money at all.. how about you cut some fucking taxes so we dont have to work 1/3 or 1/4 of the year just to hand that hard earned money over to the gov’t which by the way has never once been audited on what they spend it on… and that doesnt include all the other god damn taxes we shell out without thinking twice! Yea.. they’re so concerned about the american people and how hard its going to be on them but you dont see the $7,000-$12,000 a year property tax on long island where i live going down. How about some programs to help people losing their homes to make it more affordable? They care so much about us but they wont do a fucking thing to lighten the burden the middle class american people carry on their backs. FUCK THEM! LET THE GOD DAMN BANKS CRUMBLE! Its not like they are going to be poor, they’ve made their money! We need a new system! So what if we have to deal with some hard times… pfffftttt! LIKE WE HAVENT BEEN ALREADY??? Get rid of these greedy fuckin assholes! OH NO WE WONT BE ABLE TO TAKE OUT A CAR LOAN OR MORTGAGE!! You know what.. thats exactly why people are in so much trouble.. we’ve been conditioned to buy shit we cant afford thats why we’re going to go through this shit! Dont buy this bullshit! We’re good people we can pull through this and i think we can have a better system without these greedy sons of bitches that our driving our economy into the fucking ground!
