Can you write engaging articles, produce original content, and find interesting material on topics of your choosing on a regular basis? Prose Before Hos is expanding its content and is looking for regular contributions for the following subject areas:
* Political Ironing / Government Employee – Commentary on public policy and politics in America, often in the form of comics or videos.
* Progressive Economics – Long-form articles and commentary focused on contextualizing economics within a leftist framework (bonus points for individuals capable of presenting current economic issues under the rubric of Marxist or Institutional economics).
* International Relations – Original articles and content on international relations and development.
* Sports Editor – Original articles and content on sports.
Compensation will be per contribution with the possibility of bonuses related to performance and traffic. Writers will initially write one article per week, and based upon quality and performance, be asked to contribute more as needed. To apply, please write an introductory email with a writing sample to Alec at pbhnetwork@gmail.com, along with an answer to one of the three following questions:
* Who did (or would) you vote for in the 2000 American Presidential elections?
* Why is Bud Selig the greatest monster in the history of the modern baseball era?
* What’s the best album that has come out since 2000?
All That Is Interesting is also hiring writers.

Without much fanfare, the 5 year anniversary of ProseBeforeHos came and went (see some of the original posts here from August 2005). We’ve had over 13 million hits, made some friends, made some enemies, and some awkward acquaintances. It’s been a great 5 years — we never thought our sites would get this big or last this long — and we truly appreciate the contributions from staff and readers alike. Thanks everyone!

Sorry for the snails pace of updates. We’ve been working diligently to update Runt of the Web and Alligator Sunglasses with brand new designs. PBH and PBH2 will also have some smaller design work done in the next few weeks.

Sorry for the lack of updates, we’ve been busy updating the sites of the PBH network:
* PBH3 is now Alligator Sunglasses.
* We’ve added Runt of the Web — a similar site to Alligator Sunglasses with more Tumblr features and comment systems — to the PBH network.
* All That Is Interesting and PBH now have their own domains.

If anyone knows how to fix the problem of blank lines appearing before syntax and thus creating an XML parsing error in the RSS feed, I will love you forever. We are using WordPress 3.0. Kisses.
