Recent changes to Facebooks privacy and security settings now allow anyone to view albums by default. Thanks to intrepid work by PBH reporter AlvinBlah, a photo found in the Facebook album of Facebook CEO and Founder Mark Zuckerberg show him lounging in Ugg’s with a marijuana peace pipe from his college years. Check out the photos below:

What’s that at the bottom right hand corner? Looks like Mr. Zuckerberg likes to smoke pot while he wears girls shoes:

My Election Night Electoral Map Prediction

by AlvinBlah on November 3, 2008 |   Trackback URI   |     Email This Post Email This Post   |   27 Views

Here is my Election night map:

alvinblahs election night prediction My Election Night Electoral Map Prediction

I’m from Indiana, I’ve seen the ground game and turnout here first hand. I fully expect the state to go blue, but by a very narrow margin; 2% or so. I would not be surprised if Indiana becomes the poster child for Republican “voter fraud” after they lose this election.

I made this map nearly 2 weeks ago, so I’m standing by my guns from then, before new polling data that suggests that Georgia could be an upset, and before there was a chance that Florida would backslide. I have basically given Obama all the bellweather states and all the long standing battlegrounds and a few new ones.

Maine is split for me because Maine is nearly always split, but I expect Nebraska to stay solid red.

Anyway, that’s my basic rundown and I’m happy to discuss it further with people in the comments.

So,

I’m sitting around the house the night before the election watching some admittedly biased liberal news in regards to Olberman and Maddow, and inbetween the programs, a familiar ad comes up on the TV:

It’s an ad that I’ve seen for the past week on tv. I’m not sure how long it’s been on air in Indiana. Long enough that I hadn’t ever really paid attention. Till tonight. Something peculiar caught my eye. Something that makes me accuse The Republican Trust PAC of stealing copyrighted material. I accuse The Republican Trust of stealing the following image of Barack Obama from the Associated Press unless they can provide evidence to the contrary:
this picture of obama is stolen 500x420 Well Ill Be Dipped in Republican Pirated Republican Horseshit...

See, I run a little website where I’ve been making wallpaper and posters for Barack Obama. I’ve been pouring over images of the Senator From Illinois since late June. I’ve seen almost all of them that you can on Google, and I know a few things about that giant head of Obama.

1. The picture is easy to find on Google and is Hi-Res (good for TV)

2. I took the Image from the AC 360 Blog

3. The image originally came from the Associated Press

I took the pic to make a wallpaper image for my site where I tried to be flattering, not distort stories and not to make any money from it. Here’s what I did:

Here is the Original from AC 360:

As you can see from the imagery used in the ad the picture is identical from the AC post and my wallpaper. If you look in the bottom right left hand corner of the original pic you can see the Associated Press watermark.

I would like to see the recipt from The Republican Trust for this image. Untill then, they stole the picture and used it for a swift-boat style ad the week before the election.

Keep it up you picture theivin’ shit heads.

This is America

We can very easily get caught up in the shouting and bluster of a political season, especially when it’s as partisan and important as this. The tension couldn’t be thicker, and it gets hard to step back from the edge when everyone is marching full tilt.

I came across this picture tonight, and it has re-framed everything for me. It has reminded me that behind all the loud talk, accusations and rhetoric that the idea that we are actually and truly going to elect a black man president of the United States of America…well it’s overwhelmingly historic and I am just happy to be alive and part of the scene. This is what our country is all about and should forever be:

03 This is America

These two boys waited as a long line of adults greeted Senator Obama before a rally on Martin Luther King Day in Columbia, S.C. They never took their eyes off of him. Their grandmother told me, “Our young men have waited a long time to have someone to look up to, to make them believe Dr. King’s words can be true for them.” Jan. 21, 2008.

What is with these people???

by AlvinBlah on October 21, 2008 |   Trackback URI   |     Email This Post Email This Post   |   186 Views

What the shit is wrong with the Republican party these days? I feel like they’re willfully campaigning to lose this election. Who in their right mind thinks you can say these things?

It is disgusting that these quotes are given such a pass by the party and campaign. John McCain needs to stand up and be a man about it and tell his surrogates and supporting candidate that these gaffes are not only wrong, but borderline unpatriotic. Nancy Pfotenhauer needs to be removed from the campaign, Michelle Bachman should not be invited back onto television, and Sarah Palin needs to apologize for implying that ANY part of The United States of America is less than American.

Look, like many people I wear my politics on my shirt-sleeve. I’m okay being open and a staunch democrat and liberal, but to say that I’m not American, to imply that my support of Obama is a veiled act of national betrayal or that my very liberal county in Indiana is somehow not part of Indiana because we don’t like McCain….I- well not only would that never come from me, I’m just dumfounded that anyone, let alone three high profile nationally known figures think it’s acceptable to state out-loud on television.

This is basically political bigotry. To say that your views are not valid because they disagree with mine, or that where you live is not important because it’s not voting Republican is shameful. These three should be embarrassed by what they have said and they should really really think about whether or not they want to work in public service.

Being a democratic representative of the people does not mean you get to pick and choose which people you represent. Sarah Palin could be the Vice-President of all Americans, not just the small towns, not just the conservative pockets. She would be Vice-President of New York City, of San Francisco, of Atlanta, and Chicago. She’d be the Vice-President of my town, your town, and EVERY state in the country.

This strikes particularly close to home because I am from Indiana. Traditionally this is a very VERY red state. This election cycle it’s now competitive with a very real chance of it turning blue on the electoral map for the first time in nearly 50 years. Does that mean, that every Hoosier that has rejected the fear mongering and bad management of the Republican party isn’t a real Hoosier now? Is McCain’s campaign going to call my neighbors “Georgetown Conservatives” that aren’t really a part of the party? Many people I live around actually still want to be Republicans and would perfer to vote for a good republican candidate. The McCain-Palin ticket has been anything but that. Senator Obama has as much won votes in this state as John McCain has driven them away, and now his campain and surrogates are going to lash out at us? Fuck that. And Fuck you.

John McCain, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Nancy Photenhauer, and anyone else that promotes these divisive, bigoted, offensive, and patently mean spirited sentiments that fly in the face of anything left decent about being American….On the behalf of all the democratic voters, former republicans, and any independents you’ve driven away…

GO FUCK YOURSELVES AND THE FEAR MONGERING FLAG BEARING CROSSES YOU RODE IN ON!

I want to give people the benefit of the doubt, I really do, but this… this is inexcusable talk. The following are the actual quotes from these people.

I present: The Divisive 3

Republican Congresswoman Michelle Bachman:
absolutely bachman What is with these people???

Source (the quote starts at 2:53)

Republican Vice-Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin:
pro america palin What is with these people???

Source

Senior Policy Advisor To John McCain Nancy Pfotenhauer:
the real nancy What is with these people???

Source (quote starts 0:46 in)
