Out of the 900 people interviewed, ~39% identified themselves as Democrats, of that 39%, 19% thought the world would be better off if the United States loses the war in Iraq.

What does that actually mean?
39 percent of 900 is 351.
19 percent of 351 is 66.69, or 70 people.
or 12% of polled democrats.

What about the Republican side.

Out of the 900 people interviewed, ~34% identified themselves as Republicans, of that 34%, 5% thought the world would be better off if the United States loses the war in Iraq.

34 percent of 900 is 306.
5 percent of 306 is 15.3, or 15 people.

And Independents?

Out of the 900 people interviewed, ~20% identified themselves as Independents, of that 20%, 7% thought the world would be better off if the United States loses the war in Iraq.

20 percent of 900 is 180
7 percent of 180 is 12.6 or ~13 people.

SO!
As a total of 900 people interviewed, 98 of them though the world would be better off with a US. Loss.
98 of 900 is 9.18 percent. So less than 10 percent of those polled agreed with this statement.

While it's true that democrats make the overwhelming majority of the people that think the world is better if we lose, The Fox news statement is still biased, especially considering a larger percent of Democrats are unsure (20%).

I also find it disingenuous that the pdf of the poll is called "Iraq Prayer Web".

However they are correct, that within this sample more Democrats than Republicans agree with the sentiment. But it's still an overall minority of the population and in no way one in five democrats.
