Little update

I have been really busy lately with official Peace Corps stuff like additional training and planning so I have been out of site for a while. It is nice to get away and enjoy some “american” time with the other volunteers. My life is not about to become any less hectic either. We are starting teacher workshops this week where volunteers share teaching techniques to Nicaraguan teachers around the department. This should give me some practice on giving charlas before I start my real work. I think that I´m also going to put a bookshelf together so therewont be a mess in my room when the family comes!

They´re arriving on the 10th for a whirlwind tour around Nicaragua. I am so ready to see them and I believe that they feel the same way. Here´s hoping that this week goes by fast, and next week goes by slow! ¡Saludos a mi familia!

      Ciao Luciano,

You and your family must be very excited about their upcoming visit. We sure enjoyed our trip to Benin; it was great to see Michael and to observe him and other PCVs in their natural habitat. Michael looked very good; too bad he fell sick just after we left. All our best wishes to you and your parents; hope you will have a wonderful time together.

Sounds as though you’re doing great good. God bless. I know your parents and family are all extraordinarily proud of you as are your friends and at least one former film studies teacher.

      Hey Kid,

By this time you are in pretty thick with “family time”!

I have called to check on Ms. Millie a couple times, guess Cathy has her pretty busy. I know, I should have left a message.

All is well here. The weather is finally getting into the warmer temps, yep hee!

      Just wanted to say hi.

      love ya!
