Often when bands change direction (Radiohead is an easy example) I'm all for it, I just thought that this particular record tried too hard and generally annoyed the hell out of me. And I hate 'indie'-snob hipsters, too. I want to shove cheeseburgers down their anemic little gullets and then force them to take a shower. Hey, simmer down, I like Safe as Milk better than Trout Mask Replica, too. I don’t even like getting stoned, nor do I even have my ears pierced, much less a tattoo.

I didn’t care for this one album. Often when bands change direction (Radiohead is an easy example) I’m all for it, I just thought that this particular record tried too hard and generally annoyed the hell out of me.

A Captain Beefheart fan. Oh boy. Let me guess... TroutMaskReplica blew you away, right? Quit faking it. That album is a piece of shit. It's only purpose is to be laughed at when you're 17 and stoned beyond reason. Safe As Milk and Spotlight Kid/Clear Spot wreck TroutMaskReplica. And also, the White Stripes newest album is great. I'm glad that he finally got away from being everyone's favorite blues-junky pet. And I'm also glad that Beck got away from it too, since he got his start on similar grounds. It's not that I don't love all the blues/folk/country/garage-rock stuff from Beck and The White Stripes, it's just that I love it when they change things up to piss on snooty, elitist worms like yourself who hang out in the parts of town where the kids where sweaters all year long and drink lots of coffee. You're a bunch of nerds and you all share one brain (i.e. I'm gonna get a tattoo of a bathroom stall so I can be different like everyone else!). Bye.
