In the 2012 Republican presidential election primaries, silver-streaked pariah Jon Huntsman made a bold–and politically fatal–proclamation when he said that he trusted the scientific community’s consensus regarding climate change. “Call me crazy,” Huntsman mused. Sadly, in a sea of willful incompetence currently bleeding bright Republican red throughout the United States, Huntsman’s anomalous strand of reason might very well be viewed as “crazy”.
