Why doesn’t your mom site some data, skank?

        • Bee says:

          Firstly, it’s ‘cite’.
Secondly, you know your argument is flawed when you have to resort to ‘your mom’ as a defence for your logic.

            Its defense

            • Anonymous says:

It is spelled “defense” in parts of the United States. It is spelled “defence” in Canada and the UK.

I also agree that citation of the data that Obama has spent more money in his first year of office is than Bush has spent in his eight years in office are needed. If you are going to make that kind of claim, you need to back up your argument. “Your mom” is not backing up your argument. As a matter of fact, it is doing the opposite for your argument. When you use terms like “your mom” in order to make an argument, you are showing yourself to be small minded and uneducated. If you want to make an argument that you want respected, please make your argument in a respectful manner.

How has Obama already spent more than Bush??

“President Barack Obama’s stimulus package of $787 Billion, TARP $700 Billion, Mortgage bailout $75 Billion, and the first budget $3.552 Trillion, totals a breath taking $5.8 Trillion. According to the historical tables provided by the White HouseOffice of Management and Budget President Bush spent $16.884 Trillion from 2001-2007.”

You are about 10 trillion shy of calling that statement a fact.

It’s sad that liberals get called ‘sheep’ by conservatives who have been led, pied piper-style, into voting against their own interests and supporting the established corruption in government and American corporate politics. Stop watching Fox News. It’s not news. Stop voting for people who spend your money to make themselves richer.

    • Anonymous says:

Completely agree. In addition, Fox News ADMITS that they are not news – the network has made many statements that clarify that they classify the majority of their shows as “entertainment.”

Funny for people who aren’t right-wing extremists. For the right-wing extremists, they’ll never see the reality of who they are, they are too far invested into their denial and who they are. At this point the only thing they respond to positively is something that reinforces what they believe. There is no such thing as challenging what they believe to validate it because that means potentially having to admit they are wrong about something. Instead they will jump through twisted logic loopholes and blatant falsehoods in order to support their way of thinking. It doesn’t have to make sense, it makes them feel good.

… and I thought the comic was outrageously following stereotypes… There wasn’t an original thought in YOUR rant, which is quite a feat for someone accusing others of just that. People are people. In both parties there are people who wouldn’t “lift a finger to protect the country” and people who are “lowlife, lazy, nonproductive scum.” To generalize a large group of Americans that do not agree with your beliefs as both is childish, void of thought, and blind to that real world you are talking about.

  32. Donstove says:

Unfortunately this adds nothing to the public discourse, and is a less than original example of the tendency of the Left to marginalize the opposition by taking the most extreme examples of hypocrisy and ignorance and generalizing those characteristics to anyone on the Right, period. Just for the record, not everyone who is opposed to the recently passed “Health Care” bill is a frothing at the mouth, gun-toting illiterate. Not everyone who is opposed to Obamacare was for the war, the bailouts (for which Mr. Obama shares responsibility, BTW), or the creation of Homeland Security and the concomitant reduction in our rights as citizens. I am personally opposed to all of these as well as the recent legislation. (If this law was so wonderful, why did the Democrats have to bribe and arm-twist their own people to get it passed?). I don’t appreciate the caricature, and it’s no more accurate for the majority of those who are against all of the above abuses of government power that it is for me.

    • finns says:

The partisan generalization started with the republicans, fox news, and Karl Rove… Democrats are just finally realizing that in this country, you need to stoop as low as possible and fight fire with fire to win any high level political office. It’s only going to get worse.

The Supreme Court needs to rethink the ‘fundamental right’ to vote, and then maybe Congress could pass a bill that requires at least a high school diploma and an IQ of over 110 to vote… but alas, I am only dreaming.

  33. Brian says:

The hippy dippy weather man was an ACT!

The other notable difference is George has passed away and Palin refuses to simply pass.

But he can’t be an idiot and be right about everything.

  38. King Dinosaur says:

That is some insightful political commentary there, guys.

Both sides are morons. Ideologues left OR right cannot think for themselves.

    • Anonymous says:

I wouldn’t be so judgemental as to call both sides morons, what they are is actually deluded, thinking that they have to pick a side. In actuallity we are all duped by the rich and whether anyone likes it or not we are slaves to the rich and the America that they have created. If we are to be saved we have to change the political system and stop the practice of the rich buying their favorite politicians – us poor working slobs who do vote don’t have any choice who’s elected – they are all bought and paid for by the rich. Wake up people and stop fighting each other – it’s the rich dudes you should be against!

  39. Left and Right don't Count says:

It Doesn’t Matter that Bush is a Republican. Obama has Continued the Patriot Act, Nafta and GAT. He’s Taking us in the Same fucking direction That Bush and Clinton Were and if you don’t realize that you’re Liberally Biased, Well, not liberally Biased but you’ve been Swept up into the Manufactured Personality Cult that is Nobama. The Central Bank of The United States, Is a Communist Institution, a Central Bank is the 3rd and Central Plank of The Communist Manifesto, (it’s an Easy Way for a Government to Entirely Control it’s Nations Economy via debt Based Monetary Systems). There is More Debt in America Than Money, That’s Because the FED Charges Interest on All Moneys They Create and There is No Cash to Pay the Interest Because only The Principle Ever Existed. This System Vacuums Money From The Lower and Middle Classes into The Wallets Of An Extremely Wealthy, Corporate and Banking Elite. Don’t Talk About Left or Right, Left and Right are Fucking FAkE.

  40. The Shizz says:

WOW!! These posts are getting kinda whacky. Let’s all just sit back and take a few deep breaths, 1 mississippi, 2 mississippi… that’s better.
Lets just face the facts, We’re all fucked. Who is speaking for the average american today? I just want to do my job, pay whatever taxes I need to pay to get the services I need, save a little $$, go on vacation with my family, send my kids to college, retire with my little pension, and keep my health insurance the way it is- with my reasonable co-pays and minimum amount of fuss and bother. Oh yeah, and maybe while I’m living my little life so fat and so happy, maybe the government could possibly just start doing the right thing for everybody. We the people just want to live our lives, not hurt anybody, you know, the whole pursuit of happiness thingy. I’ve always taught my kids to not worry what other people have, be happy with what YOU have. Don’t worry that somebody’s paying less tax than you, or that someone has better healthcare than you, or that people that “don’t belong” in this country are actually here, doing the stuff that we don’t want to do anyway, or that some people love someone that has the same plumbing they have. I think the world would be a better place if we all started taking care of our own shit first, BEFORE we try to save the Universe. Comics are funny- the good ones make us think- they make me think , anyway. So everybody just chill- my head hurts from getting bludgeoned in the head with everybody’s ideology. Have a nice day! and if I missppelled anything- it’s not because I’m a liberal or whacko fundamentalist or anything, it’s just that im stoopid. Peace out.

  41. Anonymous says:

Anybody with an education can tell that this is right on. Conservatism only works when what you already have is good. If republitards hadnt elected bush in the first place we would live in a far better country and a far better world. Its no coincidence that that average republican is 7 IQ points dumber than the average democrat. Not to fear, the liberals can save this country even with the republitards getting in our way.

    • Anonymous says:

Oh the libbies (or should we say commies) are gonna save the country yep. They know how to spend your money, give it to professional couch potatoes. Oh yeah we can make health care affordable by regulating the insurers. Well that just worked fu’king great. Got a notice that our health insurer is droping ALL healthcare coverage because of Obamacare regulations. This was the cheapest plan in the area. I guess its time to quit work and stick out my hand like all the rest of the liberals and take my government handout. To take any of the other plans that are offered my cost for health care at a minimum triples.

  42. the soliform man says:

  43. hil e says:

“nobody deserves a handout in america”

I am all for charity, but i would prefer to earn my own living and actually keep more than just half of it. Seriously, the act of a hardworking and law abiding citizen ever being forced to pay somebody else’s bills is outrageous. FORCE is the key word in this statement. If Obama would like to solve all of America’s financial issues then I suggest he look for a higher paying job then redistribute his own damn wealth

  44. JWWright says:

Apparently liberals can only support their point of view by inventing fiction, and present it as “da truth”.

  45. Caedo says:

I love how you fail to mention any cons or negative results of the socialized health care system, how you forget that without the bailouts, we’d likely be in another depression comparable or worse than the Great Depression, how you say overgeneralize and grossly exaggerate by saying that the Constitution is now ‘void’ (acting, of course, like your exaggeration is somehow proving a point).

You are a craven liberal who is drinking the Obama koolaid. I honestly hope you suffer as a result of the new “change”.

Since 99% of the comments which have mentioned it do not seem to be written by people who can remember the events of two years ago: TARP, aka the Wall Street bail-out, was signed into law on October 3, 2008 by George W. Bush and was designed by Bush’s Treasury Secretary, Hank Paulson. Obama did not become President until January 20, 2009, nearly four months after the bail-out. Obama did support the bail-out, but so did John McCain, Sarah Palin (regardless of what she says now), 74% of Senators and 60% of Congresspersons of both parties. In fact, one could argue that TARP was the last bipartisan law in DC.

That about sums it up. Right-wingers can’t fathom the idea of the US not being #1. They hate the idea that their eternal empire might be coming to an end. It is reflected in right-wing christian eschatology. So they blame people, immigrants, gays, peace activists, anyone called a “socialist” for the USA’s fall from grace and think if they pray enough they can get back to the good old days that never happened.
