Carlos Latuff is a freelance political cartoonist, born in November 30, 1968, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Latuff’s works have been posted on various Indymedia websites and blogs; and several of his cartoons were also published on other websites such as Norman Finkelstein’s official website. He has also participated and was placed second, winning $4,000, in the 2006 Iranian ‘International Holocaust Cartoon Competition’.

  • I’d be curious to see Mr. Latuff do a cartoon about daily life in Sderot, dodging rockets. Or attending a religious school in Jerusalem and getting shot by the school’s driver. Or eating in a Sbarro restaurant and getting blown up by a suicide bomber.

    That last one has amazing comic potential. The sheer hilarity of the nails and screws and ball bearings and rat poison hurtling through dozens of innocent bodies is the stuff of pure comedy.
