Surprising they were caught and this incident made public; not so surprising this happened:

Rep. Jane Harman, the California Democrat with a longtime involvement in intelligence issues, was overheard on an NSA wiretap telling a suspected Israeli agent that she would lobby the Justice Department to reduce espionage-related charges against two officials of the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee, the most powerful pro-Israel organization in Washington.

Harman was recorded saying she would “waddle into” the AIPAC case “if you think it’ll make a difference,” according to two former senior national security officials familiar with the NSA transcript.

In exchange for Harman’s help, the sources said, the suspected Israeli agent pledged to help lobby Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., then-House minority leader, to appoint Harman chair of the Intelligence Committee after the 2006 elections, which the Democrats were heavily favored to win.

    Not so surprising to find the Israelis are manipulating our government to suit thier own needs. We send these people aid and this is the respect we get? We need to dissociate ourselves from Israel and cut all aid. Let the racist state stand on its own. On the homefront we need explore the possibility of creating some kind of control to prevent religious groups from gaining too much influence in our government. What good is a separation of church mandate if it cannot be enforced? Religious states are racist by nature…even if masqurading as a democracy. We do not support it here and we should not support it elsewhere. Lobbying groups need to be eliminated and Harmon needs to be jailed!

    Anyone in Washington, DC knows how powerful AIPAC and the Jews are. Ask Mr. Walt and Mr. Mearscheimer. They dared to write that priceless book after all the years of Israel buying the votes for $3 Billion in foreign aid. Walt & Mearscheimer should be publicly embraced for their courageous patriotic stance on this menace. Israel has proven numerous times to be a parasite, and certainly NOT a friend of America.
